WELCOME TO THE 2012 SADDLEWORLD DRESSAGE FESTIVAL
6TH - 9TH DECEMBER 2012

Victorian State Dressage Championships

The Saddleworld Dressage Festival is the culmination of the competition season in Australia for dressage riders, as it is the last major event before the Christmas/summer break. Incorporating the Victorian Dressage Championships for horses and ponies as well as the prestigious Pacific League World Cup Dressage Final CDI-W and the Marcus Oldham Aachen Challenge, more than 300 competitors will perform over 700 dressage tests over the four days of competition.

An extensive Trade Village provides a welcome opportunity for last minute Christmas shopping. A Festival Pass will provide you with allocated seating as well as all refreshments and meals during the four days or you may prefer to attend the Saturday night dinner and watch the best Grand Prix horses battle it out in the Freestyle for the right to represent Australia in the 2013 World Cup Final. The Welcome BBQ on Thursday night is a chance to catch up with fellow competitors and other friends whilst Friday evening will once again see a return of the ever popular Canine Capers. Sunday sees the introduction of a “Family Day” with an animal farm for the kids to enjoy and the big highlight is the final of the Marcus Oldham Aachen Challenge. The top 3 qualified riders (aged from 16 to 25 years) ride their own horses and then swap to ride a Prix St Georges level test. The rider with the highest overall score wins an airfare to Europe and tickets to the Aachen CHIO in Germany.

The Saddleworld Dressage Festival is held at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre, K Road Werribee, near Melbourne in Victoria.
