The Australasian Show Horse and Rider National Championships hit a mile stone this year. We welcome all of the competitors and spectators to the 26th Year of competition. With small beginnings and a limited number of riders and horses coming from interstate Mac Greaves saw the beginning of what has become the most prestigious Show Horse Championships in Australia and now including New Zealand. The daunting task of bringing horses from distant destinations, over the Nullarbor Plain, Bass Straight and the Tasman Sea has not deterred this years competitors. They all come to vie for the illusive title of best in Australasia in their respective classes.

The honour of representing your state in any sport is a terrific achievement and we wish all of those, who have come with varying degrees of anticipation, all the best. You are already the best and we know you will do your best so we ask that you enjoy the competition, take time out to watch and enjoy the effort others have put into their exhibits. Partake in the refreshments, meet new people with similar interests and in some cases make a new friend. Support your state with the sportsmanship we have learnt to expect as this event, You are all champions and should be delighted with your efforts whether it be your first or twenty fifth year. Soak up the atmosphere and be part of this great competition!
